MARCH 2012
Already we are facing Spring or Autumn. For many of us these are the
two most appealing seasons. I'm not sure what to think this year. The
seasons seem to be upside down and inside out. Best to make the most
of it day by day, I guess.

In the March Calamity's Corner, I'm thrilled to present, from Canada,
Joylene Butler as our Author of the Month and Waheed Rabbani  who
takes us cruising in the Galapagos Islands.

Lather up for Something Unusual from Mexico's Clive Warner.

Meet little Ziggy from Florida, who is no Scaredy Cat, or is she?

Could this month's Writing Exercise be the key to your writing
success?

Thanks to Margaret Tanner and LJ Roberts for the movie and book
reviews and I hope you won't mind me standing in for Jacquie Rogers
with a Blast from the Past, but be warned - you must turn up the
volume -- Full Blast. Hehe.

Happy leisure time
Calamity

Alanna from France shows us more of the beautiful coast

WA crime writer, Carole Sutton isn't prepared for what
she finds in her bed.

Jacquie Rogers has a historically musical treat for older
rockers in her Blast from the Past column. L.J. Roberts
convinces us to read 'A Corpse's Nightmare and my
writing exercise is rather cool, if I do say so myself.

If you've ever wondered why Buddhist monks spend so
much time meditating, join Mark as he shares his 10 day
meditation experience which he describes as 'way outside
my comfort zone.'

Until next month,
Happy leisure time.

AUGUST 2011
Happy August, Everyone.
I hope all is well with you and your loved ones.

Since my novel, 'The Unhewn Stone' will be available
in ebook from 12th August, I'll give you one guess
who the featured author is, this month. :)

In the travel feature, American Romance author
Pat McDermott shares her romantic cruise to Alaska.
Our columnists LJ Roberts and Jacquie Rogers
present their book review and Blast from the Past,
respectively.

We have an Aussie pet that works with a team-mate
and my young Swiss friend, Janine Wipfli, sings on TV
in Altdorf (which just happens to be the setting for
my novel). This is a magical video, one you simply must
see. 7 minutes long, so it might take a little while to load.

And there is plenty more.
Until next month
Fond wishes
Calamity.

JULY 2011
Greeting from chilly Australia.

In this month's Calamity Corner, Jacquie Rogers is the Featured
Author. She delights us with her Cowboys: Knights of the Old West.

Australian Children's author Dell Brand shares her unique Outback
Experience.

A coincidental pairing leads to a Journey into Faerie. Sally Odgers
tells us how that happened, and Rosalie Skinner presents her 3 little
darlings.

From Malta we have Tanja Celia's sticky quiz and from Florida, Marsha
A Moore gives us a magical writing exercise.

L.J. Roberts and Jacquie Rogers present their regular columns and
Rosalie is a tad cheeky with her Movie (TV series) review. :)

I made the mistake of upgrading my adobe reader. urgh!! Now my PDF
converter won't accept hyperlinks unless they are on pictures so the
book covers have links. It is so frustrating when you try to fix the
unfixable. I hope Adobe gets it sorted out by next month.

Until next month enjoy your work and your leisure time
Best wishes,
Calamity
